CONCORD, N.C. (April 16, 2010) – Charlotte Motor Speedway has joined forces with short tracks from around the United States and Canada to help support grassroots racing programs while providing added value to Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket holders.

For every $59 fans spend on tickets to events at Charlotte Motor Speedway or zMAX Dragway they will receive a $10 voucher good towards entry to their favorite home track participating in the program.

“This is the perfect opportunity for Charlotte Motor Speedway to help support the roots of our sport and to give back to the short tracks around the country,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “We constantly strive to add value to our fan experience and the Home Track program lets fans not only enjoy racing at the Mecca of Motorsports, but also support racing at their local short tracks.”

Nearly 40 tracks are taking part in the program including Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C.; Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, Conn.; Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Penn.; Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, S.C.; Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Va.; and Merrittville Speedway in Hepworth, Ontario, among many others.

“The Home Track program is a great way for race fans to enjoy the best of both worlds,” said Clint Elkins, promoter of Carolina Speedway. “This is a great way for NASCAR fans to get out and see what their local tracks have to offer and to possibly even spot the next NASCAR star.”
