James Turner, Gibsonville continued his perfect season in Friday night’s feature at Wake County Speedway. The 74 year young speedster has got America’s Favorite Bullring figured out this season. Turner held off Midlothian,Va. driver Mack Tatum to win the feature event for the Vintage Southern Ground Pounders. Chase Parsons won the Modified portion of the event. Jerry Jefferies, Gene Williamson and Jim Lambert rounded out the field in event. Please send prayers Corey Agee’s way, the Martinsville,Va. driver stayed home with his daddy. Bounty Hunter DQed after race leaving Clay Jones victorious

Clay Jones was a marked man on Friday night. After some great racing action in both twin 30 lap races, it looked like Clay was finally taken down by the 05 of Alex Fleming. After what was one of the most spectacular burnouts ever seen at Wake County Speedway, the tech man took the win away and handed it to second place finisher Clay Jones. In his first race of the season at the bullring, Joe Heigl sat on the pole and finished second in both twin races.
Just announced. Eastern Midgets will be returning to Wake County Speedway on August 22nd. Mother Nature won the race the first time they were scheduled to be here, but they are returning and banking Mother Nature can’t do a repeat. Come on out and see these fast, fast cars.

WCS provides a separate family grandstand with no alcohol allowed. Concessions are available or you may bring a 14″ maximum cooler. NO GLASS ALLOWED in the Grandstands or the Pits
